Rotary Eastern Suburbs Local Area Command Police Awards 2017

A great night was had by all who attended the Eastern Suburbs Local Area Command Police Awards held at the Prince Henry Centre, Little Bay, on Thursday, 11 May.

It was wonderful to see our local police awarded for their efforts above and beyond the call of duty for the community.

The Awards were organised by the Maroubra Rotary Club and Randwick Rotary Club and were sponsored by Randwick City Council, Souths Juniors, McGrath Maroubra and McDonald's Eastern Suburbs.

PoW Hospital Foundation's Heartbreakers Campaign

The Rotary Club of Randwick is proud to be supporting the Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation’s Heartbreakers team this year. 

Heartbreakers has been running for Prince of Wales Hospital (PoWH) for 11 years.   Each year, Heartbreakers takes part in various challenge events to raise vital funds for different areas of the PoWH. The team has grown every year, and since its establishment, has since raised more than $200,000 for various departments within the PoWH, improving patient care.

POWF Mural and Forum

Members of the Randwick Rotary Club visited the Emergency Department on 5 July to view the murals on the walls of the Department donated by the Club through the Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation.   This was followed by a dinner at The Spot.

Make It Happen

On Tuesday, 5 April, Annastacia Wainaina who is a teacher in the fields of women in leadership, gender equality and child rights spoke to the Club.  Her non-profit organisation 'Make it Happen' focuses on child protection, appropriate adoption processes,
